Patrick Baker graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) from the ANU School of Music in 2012, where he studied under Christina Wilson and Alan Hicks. During the course of his studies, Patrick performed in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Britten’s Albert Herring and most recently in the world premiere of Sandra France’s From a Black Sky. Nurturing a love of Australian art music, he commissioned a number of up-and-coming composers to compose art song for a recital in 2013 entitled An Australian Spring. As a composer, Patrick has studied under Stephen Leek, Paul Stanhope, Christopher Gordon, and Michael Sollis amongst others. He has had instrumental and choral works performed around Australia, most recently a work for children's choir performed by Junior Gondwana.
